The most widely used brake fluid grade worldwide
DOT 3 brake fluid has been the global default for decades. It is the specified fluid for the vast majority of older passenger cars, virtually all commuter motorcycles and scooters, and most hydraulic clutch systems. Sinolook's formulation is a synthetic glycol-ether blend engineered for consistent pedal feel, full seal compatibility, and stable performance across the full service interval.
Manufactured at our IATF 16949:2016 certified plant in Nan'an, Fujian since 2000, and independently verified by ABIC Testing Laboratories, Inc. in the United States, Sinolook DOT 3 brake fluid meets all four major international standards: FMVSS 116, ISO 4925 Class 3, SAE J1703, and GB 12981 HZY3 — with AMECA notification number #230611.
Universal compatibility
The default specification for most pre-2006 vehicles globally. Compatible with all DOT 3 / DOT 4 hydraulic brake and clutch systems using SBR or EPDM seal materials.
Margin above FMVSS minimum
Typical dry ERBP of 222 °C — 17 °C above the FMVSS 116 minimum of 205 °C. Stable wet ERBP of 151 °C exceeds the 140 °C requirement.
Seven-metal corrosion verified
Tested compatible with tinned iron, steel, cast iron, aluminium, brass, copper, and zinc per ISO 4925 §6.5 — well within the ±0.2 mg/cm² standard limit.
Brake & clutch dual-use
Suitable for both braking and hydraulic clutch actuation — the single fluid covers two systems in most manual-transmission vehicles using DOT 3 specification.

Where Sinolook DOT 3 brake fluid is used
DOT 3 is the foundational brake fluid grade — covering an enormous installed base of older vehicles, plus the majority of two-wheelers and hydraulic clutch systems worldwide.
The default specification for most cars built before 2006, including many vehicles from major Asian, European and American manufacturers still in active service.
The universal choice for commuter motorcycles and scooters. Most two-wheeler manufacturers worldwide specify DOT 3 or DOT 4 — Sinolook DOT 3 covers the lower specification cleanly.
Many manual-transmission vehicles use the same fluid for clutch actuation as for braking. Sinolook DOT 3 is suitable for any clutch reservoir marked DOT 3 or "brake and clutch fluid".
Older classic cars with non-ABS brake systems typically require DOT 3. Compatible with the natural rubber and EPDM seals used in vintage hydraulic systems.
Fleet maintenance for light delivery vans, taxis and shared-mobility vehicles where the original specification calls for DOT 3.
Forklifts, agricultural equipment, small construction machinery with hydraulic brake systems specifying DOT 3 grade.
Note: Always check the brake fluid reservoir cap on the master cylinder for the manufacturer's specification. Never use a fluid grade lower than specified. Upgrading from DOT 3 to DOT 4 is safe and requires no system flush.

Need a higher specification?
DOT 3 is the right choice when the manufacturer specifies it, but newer vehicles or higher thermal duty may call for a higher-spec fluid. Compare with the closest alternatives in the Sinolook range.

Upgraded DOT 4 with higher boiling points (260 °C / 165 °C). For modern ABS / ESP vehicles operating under heavier braking loads.
