Propylene Glycol & Ethylene Glycols Supplier
Sinolook supplies industrial glycols worldwide — high-purity propylene glycol (PG, 99.9%+) plus monoethylene, diethylene and triethylene glycol (MEG/DEG/TEG). SGS-inspected, with full COA on every shipment.
Glycols for food, pharma, PET & industrial use
Glycols are a core part of Sinolook's petrochemical line. Our flagship product is propylene glycol (PG) — a clear, low-toxicity diol used as a humectant, solvent and carrier in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial formulations.
We also supply the ethylene glycol family — monoethylene glycol (MEG) for PET resin and polyester, diethylene glycol (DEG) for solvents and polyurethane, and triethylene glycol (TEG) for natural gas dehydration. Every shipment ships with a full SGS-verified Certificate of Analysis.
Propylene Glycol (PG)
High-purity 1,2-propylene glycol, 99.9%+ assay. CAS No. 57-55-6.
Propylene Glycol — Specification
CAS 57-55-6 · HS 2905.32 · C₃H₈O₂1,2-Propylene glycol is a clear, colourless, viscous, nearly odourless liquid, fully miscible with water. Its low toxicity makes it suitable as a humectant, solvent and heat-transfer fluid across food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial applications.
| Test Item | Specification | Typical Result | Method |
|---|---|---|---|

Why source glycols from us
High-purity PG
99.9%+ assay, low water and acidity, Hazen colour ≤5 — verified by COA on every batch.
SGS COA per shipment
Every batch ships with a full Certificate of Analysis tested to GC, Karl Fischer and ASTM standards.
Full glycol range
PG plus MEG, DEG and TEG from one supplier — consolidate your glycol sourcing in a single order.
Bulk & drum options
Drums, IBC totes, ISO tanks and flexitanks. Low MOQ on trial orders for new customers.
Packaging options for global delivery
Glycols ship as liquids in drums, IBC totes, ISO tanks or flexitanks. Delivered worldwide from our bonded storage network.
Drums (200 L / 215 kg)
80 drums per 20'FCL. Best for PG and smaller MEG/DEG/TEG orders. Low MOQ for first orders.
IBC totes (1,000 L)
20 totes per 20'FCL. Convenient for mid-volume orders. Reusable / returnable on request.
ISO tanks & flexitanks
22–24 MT per ISO tank. Most cost-effective for bulk PG and MEG shipments.
Glycols — frequently asked questions
What grade of propylene glycol do you supply?
Our standard propylene glycol is high-purity 1,2-PG at 99.9%+ assay, with water content below 0.1%, acidity below 0.01% and Hazen colour ≤5 — suitable for industrial and many food/technical applications. USP (pharmaceutical), FCC (food) and cosmetic grades with full documentation are available on request. Tell us your application and required certification.
What's the difference between PG and MEG?
Propylene glycol (PG, C₃H₈O₂) is low-toxicity and approved for food, pharma and cosmetic use as a humectant and carrier. Monoethylene glycol (MEG, C₂H₆O₂) is more toxic and used industrially — mainly as feedstock for PET resin and polyester fibre, and in antifreeze. They are not interchangeable in food or pharma applications.
Do you supply MEG, DEG and TEG?
Yes. We supply the full ethylene glycol family — monoethylene glycol (MEG), diethylene glycol (DEG) and triethylene glycol (TEG) — to order. Current specifications, pricing and lead time depend on volume and destination. Email us your requirement and we'll send the latest spec sheet and quotation.
Can you provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
Yes. Every shipment includes a full COA listing assay/purity, water content, acidity, density and colour, tested to GC, Karl Fischer and ASTM standards. Pre-shipment SGS inspection is available on request, and we send sealed samples before bulk orders.
What is the minimum order quantity for glycols?
For drummed PG, MOQ typically starts at 1 pallet (4 drums) for trial orders. For IBC totes, MOQ is 1 tote. For bulk ISO tank or flexitank shipments, MOQ is 1 tank (typically 22–24 MT). New customers can start with a trial order to evaluate quality before committing to a full container.
How should propylene glycol be stored?
Store PG in tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat and oxidisers. It is hygroscopic, so containers should be kept sealed to prevent water absorption. In sealed original packaging, shelf life is typically two years. A safety data sheet (SDS) is provided with every shipment.
