The universal brake fluid for modern vehicles
DOT 4 is the most widely specified brake fluid grade worldwide — fitted to the vast majority of cars built since 2006. Sinolook's formulation is a synthetic glycol-ether blend engineered for consistent pedal feel, reliable ABS / ESP response, and resistance to vapor lock under sustained braking.
Manufactured at our IATF 16949:2016 certified plant in Nan'an, Fujian, and independently verified by ABIC Testing Laboratories, Inc. in the United States, Sinolook DOT 4 meets all four major brake fluid standards in the world: FMVSS 116, ISO 4925 Class 4, SAE J1703, and GB 12981 HZY4.
High thermal stability
Dry equilibrium reflux boiling point of 250 °C — 20 °C above the FMVSS 116 minimum — for resistance to brake fade in mountain driving, fleet duty, and warm-climate operation.
Low-temperature fluidity
Kinematic viscosity of 1,300 mm²/s at −40 °C ensures fast ABS valve response and consistent pedal feel even in extreme cold-climate applications.
Seal & metal compatibility
Verified compatible with SBR and EPDM rubber seals plus all common brake-system metals — tinned iron, steel, cast iron, aluminium, brass, copper and zinc.
Controlled hygroscopy
Wet ERBP of 160 °C protects pedal feel and stopping distance even when the fluid has absorbed atmospheric moisture during service life.

Where Sinolook DOT 4 is used
DOT 4 is the most versatile grade in the brake fluid family — covering the majority of road-going vehicles built in the last two decades, as well as hydraulic clutch systems and many motorcycle applications.
The standard fluid for most cars built since 2006. Compatible with hydraulic disc and drum brake systems on petrol, diesel, and conventional vehicles.
Suitable for daily-driver light commercial vehicles, including hydraulic clutch applications where DOT 3 / DOT 4 is specified.
Compatible with most modern motorcycles. The higher boiling point of DOT 4 over DOT 3 makes it preferred for sportier riding and aggressive braking.
Fleet maintenance for buses, vans, and light commercial trucks. Stable wet ERBP ensures reliable performance across full service interval.
Construction, mining, and agricultural equipment with hydraulic brake systems operating in mixed thermal and dusty conditions.
Many manual-transmission vehicles use the same hydraulic fluid for clutch actuation as for braking — Sinolook DOT 4 is fully compatible.
Note: Always check the vehicle owner's manual or the brake fluid reservoir cap for the manufacturer's specification. Never use a brake fluid of a lower grade than specified. Upgrading from DOT 3 to DOT 4 is safe and requires no system flush.

Considering a different DOT grade?
DOT 4 is the right choice for most cars, but specialized applications may require a higher-spec fluid. Compare with the closest alternatives in the Sinolook range.

Upgraded DOT 4 with higher boiling points (260 °C / 165 °C). For modern ABS / ESP vehicles operating under heavier braking loads.
