DOT 4 LV Brake Fluid (DOT 4+ PLUS)
DOT 4 LV (low-viscosity) is the modern evolution of DOT 4 — same chemistry, dramatically lower kinematic viscosity at low temperatures. The 1,000 mm²/s viscosity at −40 °C enables fast ABS modulator and ESP valve response, which is why most European and Asian OEMs since 2010 specify DOT 4 LV for vehicles with electronic stability control.
Manufactured at our IATF 16949:2016 certified plant in Nan'an, Fujian, Sinolook DOT 4 LV is a synthetic glycol-ether blend meeting all four major standards: FMVSS 116, ISO 4925 Class 4, SAE J1703, and GB 12981 HZY4.
Industry-leading cold flow
1,000 mm²/s at −40 °C — 33% lower than standard DOT 4. ABS solenoids cycle faster and ESP intervention is more responsive in winter conditions.
High dry boiling point
Typical 265 °C dry ERBP, 15 °C above the ISO 4925 Class 4 minimum and 35 °C above the FMVSS 116 minimum.
Modern OEM-spec match
Aligned with the brake fluid specifications used by most European and Asian vehicle manufacturers since 2010 for ESP-equipped vehicles.
Backward compatible
Fully miscible with DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 4+. Direct upgrade fill — no system flush required.
Sinolook DOT 4 LV — typical production values
Enterprise typical values from current production batches. Every shipment is supplied with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) listing the batch-specific results. Independent ABIC test reports against FMVSS 116, ISO 4925, and SAE J1703 are available on request.

Where Sinolook DOT 4 LV is used
DOT 4 LV is positioned for specific application profiles where its combination of boiling points, viscosity and chemistry delivers measurable advantages over standard grades.
The default specification for most European and Asian vehicles built since 2010 with electronic stability control.
Where regenerative-friction blending requires brake-by-wire-like response from the hydraulic system.
Vehicles operating in northern climates where −40 °C viscosity directly impacts ABS responsiveness.
Premium motorcycles with cornering-ABS and traction control benefiting from lower-viscosity hydraulic response.
Buses, delivery vans and light commercial trucks specifying DOT 4 LV for their stability control systems.
Authorized service network filling specification for vehicles originally factory-filled with low-viscosity DOT 4.
Note: Always check the brake fluid reservoir cap on the master cylinder for the manufacturer's specification. Never use a fluid grade lower than specified. Glycol-ether brake fluids must never be mixed with DOT 5 silicone.
Flexible packaging, OEM & global supply
Sinolook DOT 4 LV is supplied in every commercial format — from 250 ml retail bottles for the aftermarket through to ISO tanks for high-volume lubricant blenders and OEM brake-system suppliers.
