TEGMEB borate ester is an ashless borate ester anti-wear and extreme-pressure (EP) additive, providing metal-free protection for boundary and high-load conditions. As an ashless additive it adds no sulphated ash, and being borate-based it can offer good thermal stability and complementary performance to phosphorus and sulphur anti-wear chemistries. It is valuable in low-SAPS engine oils and industrial oils seeking ashless, metal-free anti-wear and EP protection. It is part of the anti-wear agents range and complements ZDDP and other anti-wear additives.
